SUMMARY:2nd Consultation Workshop on Sector Development Plan 2026-2040 for WASH
DESCRIPTION:The Local Government Division (LGD)\, under the Ministry of LGRD&C\, has initiated the development of a new Sector Development Plan (SDP) spanning from 2026 to 2040 for Water\, Sanitation\, and Hygiene (WASH) in Bangladesh. ITN-BUET\, in collaboration with UNICEF\, is providing technical assistance for the preparation of this new SDP. \nAn inception workshop was conducted on September 4\, 2023\, at ITN-BUET\, during which sector stakeholders shared their insights and ideas concerning the draft outline of the SDP. To further progress in this endeavor\, the first Consultation Workshop\, focusing on the thematic area of increasing coverage and promoting quality\, was held on October 11\, 2023\, at ITN-BUET. During this workshop\, sector stakeholders engaged in brainstorming sessions\, provided strategic directions\, guidelines\, and identified actions for drafting the content of the SDP 2026-2040 for WASH. \nThe 2nd Consultation Workshop is scheduled to take place on October 18\, 2023 (Wednesday). This half-day workshop\, running from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm\, will be hosted in the ITN-BUET Seminar Room\, situated on the 5th Floor of the ARI-ITN Building at BUET.
