A Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop for sector specialists on \u2018City Wide Inclusive Sanitation through Faecal Sludge Management\u2019<\/strong> and \u201cDelivering Effective WASH Training\u201d<\/strong> was held during 27 to 31 July, 2019 at ITN-BUET and Chuti Resort, Joydevpur. The objective of the workshop was to review the contents of this ToT module as well as understand effective delivery mechanism of the course. The key focus of this ToT was to create a pool of master trainers by building their capacity on effective delivery of FSM\/CWIS knowledge. As an outcome of the ToT, the Master trainers will build capacity of the Paurashava and concerned DPHE\/LGED officials at District\/Sub-district\/Paurashava level. Through the FSM training, officials will be able to develop an FSM Action Plan for their respective Paurashavas and implement accordingly. ITN-BUET with the support of CAWST is developing \u201cTrainers\u2019 Module\u201d for Paurashava engineers, officials and DPHE engineers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Ms. Lona Robertson, Global Learning Advisor, Training & Consulting of CAWST was the facilitator of the training workshop. Representatives from ITN-BUET, DPHE, KUET, SUST, RUET, Practical Action, WaterAid, WSUP, SNV and VERC participated in the training. Dr. Md. Mujibur Rahman, former professor of BUET and advisor of ITN-BUET distributed certificates among the participants. Dr. Rahman hoped that the ToT will create a pathway for the Master Trainers to deliver and design effective training programs on FSM, CWIS and WASH.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
