\u201cMastering Mobile Data Collection and Online Monitoring for Smarter, Data-Driven Solutions\u201d <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 <\/em>with this motto, <\/strong>ITN-BUET successfully conducted a dynamic capacity-building training workshop titled “Mobile Data Collection and Online Monitoring Using KoBoToolbox”<\/em>. The event was held from April 19 to 21, 2025, at the ITN-BUET Seminar Room. The three-day event brought together 15 professionals from esteemed institutions including the Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE), Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Dushtha Shasthya Kendra (DSK), Max Foundation, NGO Forum, VERC, and ITN-BUET. The program was designed to equip participants with practical skills in mobile-based survey design, data collection, and real-time monitoring using the KoBoToolbox platform.<\/p>\n The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Rowshan Mamtaz, Director of ITN-BUET, alongside Project Manager Mr. Alauddin Ahmed. In her opening address, Dr. Mamtaz underscored the growing significance of digital tools like KoBoToolbox in today\u2019s data-driven world. She noted that mastering such platforms is critical not only for professional advancement but also for contributing meaningfully to evidence-based planning and implementation. Participants explored the full mobile data workflow\u2014from digital form design and deployment on mobile devices to cloud-based submission, user-permission management, and real-time dashboard monitoring. Key technical concepts such as skip logic, data validation, and XLSForm structuring were covered through live demonstrations and guided exercises. The hands-on nature of the training ensured that participants could immediately apply what they learned.<\/p>\n A major highlight of the workshop was a simulation-based group project, where participants collaborated to design surveys, collect field data, and present their findings.
