ITN-BUET plays a key role in advancing Citywide Inclusive Sanitation (CWIS) and sustainable Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) solutions. As a regional capacity-building hub supported by the Gates Foundation, it bridges the gap between knowledge and practice through training, research, and policy advocacy. ITN-BUET equips professionals with structured learning programs, supports cities in implementing inclusive sanitation solutions, and fosters innovation in faecal sludge management, wastewater treatment, and occupational health & safety. The FSM laboratory, established in the Civil Engineering Department with the support of ITN-BUET, is at the forefront of action research in urban sanitation. It plays a crucial role in shaping policy, influencing academic discourse, and earning national and international recognition by advancing research in faecal sludge management, wastewater treatment, occupational health & safety, and sustainable business models. Additionally, the Sanitation Knowledge Repository serves as a centralized hub for sharing information, guidelines, policies, process documentation, and best practices. Designed for accessibility, it helps in the identification, creation, and distribution of CWIS\/FSM knowledge, offering a unified and easily discoverable knowledge pool.<\/p>\n
