Shortage of safe drinking water is one of the problems being faced by the citizens of Dhaka. While the concerned agencies are continuously striving for increasing the supply, a demand side management should also be considered to handle this problem. From this perspective, this research on “Conservation of Water through Use of Water Efficient Appliances in Dhaka City” is very important. It is expected that this research outcome of ITN-BUET will be an important reference for research and development activities of the government, non-government organizations, development partners and other agencies working in the WSS sector. In addition, this publication will also be useful to the scientists, researchers and sector professionals to undertake further research works to enrich the knowledge base in this particular area.
