DPHE Cox’s Bazar Fecal Sludge Laboratory personnel are now oriented on basic Fecal Sludge characterization
UPM GmBH and its local partner Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) handed over field laboratory facilities used by them to characterize the fecal sludge in Rohingya camps Cox’s Bazar to DPHE following the hands-on training on the operation of the equipment and sampling.
The newly recruited DPHE personnel for the Cox’s Bazar DPHE FSM Laboratory were introduced to fecal sludge testing, parameters, equipment and sampling procedures through a 3-day training at DPHE Sadar Upazila Office, Cox’s Bazar. UPM GmBH and BAU organized this training during 2-5 October 2021 in collaboration with ITN-BUET with the support from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) funded project.

In a workshop organized by the Rangpur City Corporation, in association with ITN-BUET and Water & Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP), the city authorities urged to design and implement sanitation development projects following the FSM action plan to achieve SDG 6.2 by 2030.

Chattogram, the commercial capital of the country, needs collaboration from all concerned agencies to ensure safely managed sanitation for the city dwellers. In a workshop organized by the Chattogram City Corporation, in association with ITN-BUET and Water & Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP), the city authorities underscored the necessity of implementing a citywide FSM action plan to achieve SDG 6.2 by 2030.
