ITN-BUET aims to build capacity within the Water Supply and Sanitation sector in Bangladesh. The center intends to recruit for the following position under a project supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
POSITION: PROJECT OFFICER
Role and responsibility
The Project Officer will be responsible for developing capacity-building materials and tools, organizing learning trips for relevant stakeholders, undertaking extensive field visits, and carrying out field-level activities related to training, workshops, surveys, research, studies, and other project activities. Additional responsibilities include preparing progress reports, statements, and training reports, as well as conducting and monitoring action research.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate should have at least a B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering with preferred higher degree in Environmental Engineering from a reputed university and should have three years of work experience in Water Supply & Sanitation Sector (WSS). Proficiency in written and spoken English and Bangla is essential. The incumbent should have strong professional connections with sector agencies, multilateral and bilateral development partners, UN agencies, NGOs, and global resource centers. The candidate should also possess good computer skills, including proficiency in operating software programs such as word processing, PowerPoint, and spreadsheet applications.
