The project will involve the construction of two water distribution networks, 110 community toilets (85 with 2 chambers and 25 with 3 chambers), one solid waste dumping/sorting point, one fecal sludge treatment plant, and five modern public toilets in Cox’s Bazar Municipality.
The main objective of this assignment is to review the design of proposed interventions (water distribution network, community toilets, solid waste dumping/sorting point, fecal sludge treatment plant, and modern public toilets) for the UNICEF-supported project titled “Promotion of Improved WASH Services to Low-Income Communities in Cox’s Bazar Municipality.”
The specific objectives are to assess the suitability of the sites for the proposed interventions, review and suggest necessary changes to the design, and suggest mechanisms for the collection and disposal of solid waste and desludging of fecal sludge in consultation with Cox’s Bazar Municipality and other stakeholders.
