Sanitation Behavior

Comparative analysis of the Willingness to Pay (WTP) techniques: Predicting sanitation behaviors of users (landlords and tenants) by comparing WTP techniques for sanitation services in urban slums Dhaka, Bangladesh.

This research compares three willingness-to-pay (WTP) techniques—Discrete Choice Experiments, Contingent Valuation, and Hedonic Pricing—to predict sanitation behaviors of landlords and tenants in Dhaka’s urban slums. By analyzing user preferences, socio-economic factors, and tenure dynamics, the study aims to identify the most accurate method for guiding equitable, financially sustainable sanitation programs and advancing SDG 6.
