Capacity Building

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shariful Islam, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of BUET, inaugurated ITN-BUET’s four-day specialized training on “Planning and Design of Fecal Sludge Treatment Plant (FSTP)” on 27 July 2026. 15 WASH professionals from city corporations, paurashavas, universities and agencies joined this fourth cohort.

ITN-BUET served as technical knowledge partner for a 3-day Advanced Investigative Journalism Training on SWM organized by TIB at BRAC CDM. 29 journalists explored urban waste governance, strategic planning, investigative methodologies, and AI-based reporting tools to strengthen evidence-based reporting, transparency, and accountability.
