ITN-BUET aims to build capacity within the country’s water supply and sanitation sector. The center intends to recruit a young communication professional under the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation-supported project.
Position: Communication Associate
Contract Type: Contractual/Fixed Term
The selected candidates will initially be offered a three-month contract as a probation period, which may be renewed depending on satisfactory performance.
Salary: Negotiable depending on qualifications and experience in related fields
Role and Responsibility
The Communications Associate will be responsible for design, development, advocacy, communication, and networking relevant to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). The specific roles and responsibilities are below:
- Design training and knowledge materials and make press-ready versions that are visually engaging, innovative, and appropriate for the target audience.
- Prepare promotional and publicity materials for training courses and exposure visits.
- Design the layout of newsletters, case stories, fact sheets, policy briefs, and other relevant documents.
- Conduct photography at various events to capture impactful moments for communication materials.
- Develop video documentaries, including storyboarding, shooting, and editing.
- Experience in video production, editing, and event photography is an added advantage for this role.
- Manage web content updates and social media content creation and curation.
- Follow the standard practices and guidelines of ITN-BUET while creating content.
- Network with print and electronic media.
Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Mass Communications, or any other related field.
- Relevant field experience will be prioritized.
- Proficient in MS Office Suites, Adobe Creative Suites (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premier are a must).
- Hands-on experience with photography and videography tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of creating UI and UX and other relevant design tools.
- SEO and social media management.
- Strong folio of work demonstrating conceptual thinking, layout design, and effective use of colors and typography.
- Advanced capacity for Bangla and English content editing.ย
