The ITN-BUET aims at building capacity within Water Supply and Sanitation sector in the country. The centre intends to recruit the following positions under the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation supported project.
POSITION: PROJECT OFFICER
Role and responsibility
The Project Officer will be responsible for the development of capacity-building materials and tools, organize learning trips for relevant stakeholders, undertake extensive field visits and carryout field level activities in connection to training, workshop, survey, research, study and other project activities, prepare progress reports, statements and training reports conduct and monitor action research.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate should have at least a B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering with preferred higher degree in Environmental Engineering from a reputed university and should have three years of work experience in Water Supply & Sanitation Sector (WSS). Proficiency in written and spoken English and Bangla is essential. Through professional activities have close linkages, with sector agencies, multilateral and bilateral development partners, UN agencies, NGOs, and global resource centres. The candidate should also have good computer skills in operating package programs (e.g. Word Processing, PowerPoint, Spreadsheet). ITN-BUET is an equal opportunity organization. Salary range is Tk. 75,000 – 90,000/- per month (consolidated) and is negotiable depending on qualification and experience in related fields.
The selected candidates will initially be offered a six months contract as probation period, which may be renewed depending on satisfactory performance.
