DPHE and ITN-BUET regularized capacity building process of DPHE officials: 1st round covered training on Fecal Sludge and Biosolids Analysis

ITN-BUET has been conducting training for sector actors including DPHE officials since 1997. The journey has recently been fortified with Training Division of DPHE to regularly train DPHE officials as an integral part of training calendar.

Regional workshop advances IMIS-focused capacity and collaboration

A regional workshop on the Integrated Municipal Information System (IMIS) was held on 21–22 August 2025 at the Global Water & Sanitation Center (GWSC), Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. Three key institutions, GWSC-AIT Thailand, Innovative Solution Pvt. Ltd. (ISPL) Nepal, and ITN-BUET Bangladesh, came together in the workshop to build stakeholder capacity for IMIS adoption.

GSGS regional hub and Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) organizes I-WASH 2025 to build skills for humanitarian response

Recognizing the critical role of water supply, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in public health, particularly during emergencies, the Global Sanitation Graduate School Regional Hub for South and Southeast Asia (GSGS RH SSEA), in collaboration with the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia, organized the Integrated WASH (I-WASH) Summer Course 2025 on the theme “WASH in Emergency Settings.” The course was held from 12 July to 13 August 2025, combining online lectures with immersive field-based training in Indonesia.

Enhancing mentorship capacity of CWIS mentor cities in the region: Joint effort of ITN-BUET and ENPHO

Research findings show promises for effective re-using of sludge and ash

ITN-BUET organized a dissemination event on Saturday, 26 July 2025, showcasing its two pioneer research projects to explore the utilization of industrial by-products, such as medical waste incineration ash, sewage sludge ash, and coal fly ash, for compressed stabilized earth blocks (CSEB) and production of sustainable concrete using geopolymer artificial coarse aggregates.
