ITN-BUET and CSIRS-UIU successfully conducted a three-day professional training on Municipal Solid Waste Management (MSWM), to equip professionals including engineers, planners, academia and sanitation professionals with the knowledge and skills required for urban solid waste management.

ITN-BUET disseminated Bangladesh’s water and sanitation progress at the UNC Water & Health Conference held from 27 to 31 October 2025 at the University of North Carolina, USA. The conference, organized annually by the Water Institute at UNC, brings together global researchers, policymakers, development partners, and practitioners to advance solutions for safe water, sanitation, hygiene and public health, and environmental sustainability through evidence-based innovation and cross-sector collaboration

In a significant move toward enhancing solid waste management (SWM) practices in Bangladesh, SNV Netherlands Development Organization, in partnership with ITN BUET, organized a groundbreaking two-day workshop on October 26-27, 2025.

ITN-BUET has been conducting training for sector actors including DPHE officials since 1997. The journey has recently been fortified with Training Division of DPHE to regularly train DPHE officials as an integral part of training calendar.
