GSGS South and South East Asia (SSEA) Hub Partners in Nepal have formally renewed their commitment to the GSGS program. Separate MoUs have been signed between the SSEA Regional hub and ENPHO (as supporting partner) and Kathmandu University (as academic partner). The Regional Hub Director, Prof. Dr Tanvir Ahmed, visited Kathmandu, Nepal, on 26th May 2025 to formalize the collaboration.
Ms. Bhawana Sharma, Executive Director of ENPHO, signed on behalf of the organization. Prof Tanvir discussed the opportunities and roles of ENPHO as a supporting partner in the GSGS program. Mr Rajendra Shreshta and Mr. Ashkumar Khaitu were also present at the meeting at the ENPHO office.



Prof Dr. Bim Prasad Shrestha of Kathmandu University was present virtually during the signing of the agreement with Kathmandu University. Prof. Bim, who is also the head of the National Technology and Innovation Centre (NTIC) in KU, discussed opportunities for collaboration with the GSGS regional hub program. His team at KU gave a presentation on the many facets of the NTIC and how it is shaping itself to become an innovation hub in Nepal. Prof. Tanvir also gave an overview of the GSGS SSEA hub and its vision and future programs. Kathmandu University has been an active academic partner of the GSGS program since its inception in 2018. During the visit, Prof Ahmed also met with the faculty members of Tribuvan University and Pokhara University, who are also academic partners of the GSGS program.
