The proposed research is expected to develop guidelines for a simple, novel wastewater treatment systems in institutions and/or domestic wastewater treatment in urban, semi urban areas of Bangladesh.

The prime objective of this assignment is to evaluate the water desalination technology and its efficiency based on users’ feedback at field level and provide recommendations for the further expansion of the interventions.

ITN-BUET (with the support from Unicef) conducted City Service Delivery Assessment (CSDA)  for Chattogram and Rajshahi City Corporations following the CWIS CSDA Guideline and prepared reports. CSDA outcomes recommend the actions needed for enabling, delivering, and sustaining sanitation services in an inclusive manner.

ITN-BUET has been approached by UNICEF to create a national compendium of WASH technologies in Bangladesh for emergency response, as it is currently missing in the sector and is considered a top priority during emergencies. The compendium will feature technical details, drawings, materials specifications, quantities, and costs.
